Zonal is a gathering of school from the north in pampanga and this year's Zonal is held at Hillcrest Heights Institute located somewhere in Magalang. last year the said event was held in Don Bosco Academy.
And as a staff of the fountainhead I have to go to Hillcrest Heights Institute. Okay I really don't want to go there becaue of the fact that its so far and I don't have money to pay for the fare. but, luckily I was able to go there with my classmates and teachers for free.
Some of our delegates were able to really show that SIJ is not some cheap school. They were able to prove that even if the SIJ doesnt have all the facilities it need we were able to produce such good athletes. The boys volleyball team showed that they are really worthy of our support and the second chance given to them even though they were not able to go to the championsips. Aldrin and Myron played with their hearts and Leda proved that she rules when it comes to the (badminton)court. Spyra, Shannon together with her doubles partner which I forgot the name played good as well in the highschool division.
While our elementary students brought a lot of medals and trophes. They were able to bring home the bacon. They won in almost every sports event making them the over-all champion for the elemtary division.
Then came the Mr. and Ms ZOnal 2007. Our bets in the elementary division are sabrina and john michael while Sarah and Marvin are our bets in the high school division. We know that we have a small chance of winning on the said competition. But to our disbelief all of our representatives were able to enter the top 5. During the question and answer portion we prayed that our bets would be able to answer the question given to them. Finally, the announcement of the winners came we were astounded as one by one the placers are annouced leaving us a chance to win. Sabrina is hailed as Ms. Zonal Elementay Dvision while John Michael was hailed as 1st runner-up mr.zonal elementary division. Both Sarah and Marvin were crowned as Mr. and Ms. Zonal 2007 HighSchool DIvision. All the sijians in the crowd screamed and jumped because we WON! After the coronation a fireworks display had captivated our eyes but the joy in our heart of winning the said event is still there.
We were glad and proud to be an sijians at the moment even if its for a little while. We were happy that we won and proved our worth. For we didn't expect to win anything at all.

encantadia
ilang araw din akong hindi naguupdate so here is my new entry...
Encantadia
Introduction
Encantadia is a term coined from the Filipino word encantada or encantado which means enchanted beings endowed with supernatural powers.
In the show, Encantadia is a vast enchanted realm comprising of four divided kingdoms where different mythical entities thrive. These four kingdoms bear the four precious stones that holds the land's balance. The kingdom of Adamya, Sapiro, Lireo, and Hathoria. The tranquility and future of Encantadia rests on the four gemstones of water, earth, wind and fire; each being carefully kept by the bearers from each kingdom.
But when the Hathors, from the kingdom of Hathoria threatened to accumulate all the gems from the other bearers, hostility and war swept over the realm. It's a battle of three kingdoms against one.
The story unfolds in Lireo, the kingdom where Ynang Reyna Minea lives with her daughters Amihan, Alena, Danaya, and Pirena. The four Sangg'res are tasked to be the new keepers of the gemstones. Their skills in war and their powers as the royalty of the diwatas are believed to be the strength of Lireo. As long as the gemstones are kept properly, the balance of nature in Encantadia remains. But this story tells viewers that powers can also break precious relationships as Pirena had plotted the downfall of her own sister Amihan, who won the competition for the Lirean crown, and the other Sangg'res Danaya and Alena took Amihan's side.
With this situation, Lira, the long lost daughter of Amihan returned to Encantadia and tried to fulfill her mission of mending the broken relationships of the strong-willed gemstone keepers.

Ynang Reyna and the Sang'gres

Pirena
eldest among the four daughters of Minea, the Diwata of Fire and Queen of the Diwatas after invading Lireo and overthrowing Amihan. Keeper of the Jewel of Fire and formerly, the Gem of Water which she stole from Alena, her sister the diwata of water. But Alena has tricked her back and was able to get it back from Pirena. She has the ability to morph into any person she likes which she inherited from her father, Hagorn. However, unlike her father, she can sustain the transformation for as long as she wishes because of her Diwata blood. She can also fly like a rocket launched into the air if need be. She's the smartest among the four Sangg'gres for she is an expert in planning. She is also confident and hard working. Her evil side is shown around 80% of the series but she will find the love inside her heart and turn back to the light. Her personal weapon is the twin daggers.
Amihan
second eldest of the four daughters of Minea, the Diwata of Wind, Queen of the Diwatas after Minea's reign and keeper of the Jewel of Wind and Raquim is her father. Amihan sits in Lireo with the kindness and wisdom of her mother and the unmatched sworsdmanship skills and strong arms of her father. She is also the mother of Lira, her only heir. Amihan is actually not a pureblooded Diwata because she is really 1/2 Diwata like her mother and 1/2 Sapirian like her father. But she is identifed as a Diwata. Her control of wind allows her to fly (alone or with someone) and feel the wind's emotion. She has also developed a strong link to Avilan when he first showed up to tell her about her bleeding palm if she makes an extremely wrong judgement. After she cursed herself from dying, the marks in her palm disappeared giving her additional powers such as to summon Aera, her kambal-diwa. Her personal weapon is the two handed broad sword she inherited from her ado Raquim.
Alena
third of the four daughters, the Diwata of Water. Carries the most distinctive powers in Encantadia. Regained the Jewel of Water stolen from her by Pirena. She is the lover of the Sapirian heir, Ybarro (Ybrahim) with whom she had a son Kahlil. She has the most beautiful voice in Encantadia like the sirens in mythology. Her voice has magical powers to love, soothe, kill and hypnotize. She's also the one who blessed Lira with a voice to soothe anyone, especially her mother. She is the one Sang'gres who knows about Danaya's love for Aquil. Her personal weapon is a spear made out of sea shells.
Danaya
fourth and youngest of the four daughters, the Diwata of Earth and the keeper of the Jewel of Earth. Alena and Danaya both have the same father who is still not yet known in the series. Though the youngest, Danaya is the most fearless and level-headed among all the Sang'gres. She is the one responsible for finding Lira in the mortal realm and bringing her back to Encantadia. She is in love with Aquil but will not let her feelings be known. It is also believed that she may not die if she doesn't want to. She will turn into different plant lifes to revive herself. She can also transform herself into any animals and plants she wishes which she uses in subterfuge. Her personal weapon is the twin arnis with engraved plant markings.

Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks for HBO, Band of Brothers is a ten-part miniseries based on the book Band of Brothers: E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne From Normandy to Hitler's Eagle's Nest by Stephen E. Ambrose. The series dramatically re-creates the path of Easy Company, an elite paratrooper unit, from their basic training at Camp Toccoa in Georgia in 1942, to D-Day, to their critical involvement in the Battle of the Bulge, through their triumph at the close of the war. The unit was one of the best trained and most productive in American military history, but it also suffered immense casualties. The series is an ensemble piece, involving dozens of characters, and cast with relative unknowns. To the extent that there is a central character, it is Dick Winters (Damian Lewis), who went to Toccoa as a lieutenant and was promoted, over the course of the war, to battalion commander. Each episode includes brief excerpts from present-day interviews with some of the surviving members of the company. While the series is not a hagiography, Winters is depicted as a brave, resourceful, and humane leader. It's clear that the men revered him, and that he genuinely respected and cared about them. There are a few other members of the unit that make a strong impression. Ronald Spiers: You wanna know if they're true or not. The stories about me? Did you ever notice with stories like that, everyone says they heard it from someone who was there.
